When was your organization founded, and where? What is the story behind how your organization began?
The NRPR story begins before its 2014 founding in Beverly Hills, CA. In college, when Nicole Rodrigues first took Public Relations courses, she knew she ultimately wanted to own her own agency. For the next 14 years, Nicole honed her PR and leadership skills through in-house and agency roles. After successfully managing an agency division and very large client accounts as Vice President of Digital Entertainment at a prominent PR agency in LA, Nicole knew she had what it took to be a great agency owner. Nicole ventured off on her own and has been running NRPR Group ever since.
What leadership habits and cultural values have led to your company-organization’s success and recognitions?
The NRPR culture reflects our CEO’s vision of an agency where clients, media and employees are satisfied. Our core values include acting toward media and clients with transparency, high-touch services and steadfast support. Employees are also treated with respect. When employees are happy, they produce their best work, and their best work translates into great results for clients, which translates into more business and satisfaction all around. How is your company-organization better prepared to compete?
NRPR Group excels against other PR firms based on our unparalleled use of data as a competitive tool. Through software tools such as Onclusive and Meltwater, NRPR tracks client and competitor coverage and uses that information to build media relationships needed to gain client trust and deliver results benefitting both clients and media. Staff are thoroughly trained in media relations and quickly learn that Public Relations professionals would not accomplish anything without the support and cooperation of the media. NRPR creates opportunities for potential coverage with proactive pitching based on deliberate messaging required by clients and media to deliver results.

One of NRPR’s proudest moments is our successful partnership with Los Angeles Comic Con. In 2019, NRPR started working with Comikaze Entertainment, the LA Comic Con owner and operator to make the comic, horror, sci-fi, anime, gaming, and pop culture event a success. The convention needed a great PR partner who understood the entertainment and comic book industries to garner buzz not previously received. With solid messaging and strategy for media alerts and direct press outreach, NRPR helped make 2019 stellar for media relations and results, including 700+ press attendees and more than 700 press hits closed.

What changes or growth do you predict for your organization in the coming years?
In the coming years, NRPR Group will continue to grow and provide new services to clients. We continue to add new reporting tools and keep apprised of PR and specific client-related industry trends to best serve clients. In 2020, NRPR Group opened its newest division, NRPR Productions, to increase the agency’s capabilities to include a full-service production company, specializing in branded content, commercials, corporate videos, and YouTube series. We will keep working with clients to extend their visibility and bring their stories to life while developing new systems to keep the agency innovative and responsive to client and media needs.
