Globee® Awards Terms and Conditions for Submitted Content

Effective date: August 13, 2026

These Terms and Conditions for Submitted Content (“Content Terms”) apply when you voluntarily submit articles, achievement stories, profiles, photographs, graphics, audio, video, quotations, biographies, interviews, or other material for possible editorial, publication, promotional, or social-media use by Silicon Valley Communications, LLC, doing business as Globee® Awards (“Globee® Awards,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Content Terms do not replace the Terms and Conditions of Entry governing nominations submitted for judging or the separate Talent Release Agreement used for recorded appearances.

By submitting content, you agree to these Content Terms and confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have authority to submit the material.

1. Editorial Consideration Is Discretionary

Submission, payment of an entry fee, winning an award, purchasing merchandise, sponsorship, or any other relationship does not guarantee publication, an interview, a profile, favorable coverage, placement, timing, promotion, or continued availability.

Globee® Awards editors decide what to review, edit, publish, feature, postpone, decline, archive, or remove. Editors are not required to provide reasons for declining or not selecting particular content and may be unable to provide individual status updates.

2. Ownership and License

You retain ownership of original content you submit. You grant Globee® Awards a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to:

review, copy, format, edit, adapt, excerpt, caption, translate, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, transmit, archive, and promote accepted content;

combine accepted content with headlines, layouts, graphics, links, captions, branding, and other editorial material;

use accepted content in Globee® Awards websites, digital publications, email, social media, video, audio, press, archives, and related editorial or promotional channels; and

authorize hosting, publishing, distribution, production, analytics, and other service providers to exercise these rights only as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

The license is perpetual for content already published or incorporated into a completed publication, recording, campaign, archive, or distributed work. For unpublished content, you may withdraw the license by written notice before publication, but withdrawal is effective only after Globee® Awards has had a reasonable opportunity to process it.

Globee® Awards is not required to use submitted content and receives no ownership of your underlying copyright merely because you submit it.

3. Editorial Changes

Editors may make changes for length, clarity, accuracy, grammar, style, headlines, formatting, accessibility, legal risk, search visibility, platform requirements, or consistency. Editors may request verification, permissions, source information, or revisions.

Globee® Awards will not knowingly change the fundamental meaning of attributed statements, but you do not receive a general right to approve headlines, layouts, edits, publication timing, excerpts, captions, or accompanying material unless a separate written agreement expressly provides one.

4. Your Representations

You represent that:

the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not materially misleading;

you created and own the content or have all necessary rights and permissions;

identifiable people have provided any permissions required for their names, images, voices, quotations, personal information, or stories;

logos, photographs, graphics, music, video clips, statistics, quotations, and other third-party material are properly licensed or otherwise lawfully used;

the content does not violate confidentiality, privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contractual, employment, or other rights;

the content is not defamatory, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, unlawfully discriminatory, obscene, malicious, or otherwise unlawful; and

submitting and publishing the content does not breach an NDA, court order, employer policy, client obligation, or other agreement.

If content includes claims about products, services, performance, rankings, customers, research, safety, health, finance, law, or other factual matters, you must have a reasonable basis and supporting information.

5. Prohibited and Unsuitable Content

Do not submit content that:

contains confidential, trade-secret, NDA-protected, unlawfully obtained, or unnecessary sensitive personal information;

infringes or misappropriates another person’s rights;

impersonates another person or misrepresents affiliation, authorship, approval, or sponsorship;

contains malware, deceptive links, hidden advertising, undisclosed paid endorsements, spam, or manipulative search content;

promotes unlawful activity or creates an unreasonable safety or security risk; or

is submitted primarily to harass, deceive, exploit, or damage another person or organization.

6. Attribution, Disclosure, and Commercial Relationships

Globee® Awards may identify the contributor, author, organization, award status, or relevant commercial relationship. You must disclose material relationships, payments, gifts, sponsorships, employment, ownership interests, or other circumstances that could affect how readers understand the content.

Editorial consideration remains separate from awards judging and paid participation. No payment guarantees independent editorial selection or favorable treatment.

7. No Confidential Submission Relationship

Unless Globee® Awards expressly agrees otherwise in writing before submission, editorial submissions are not received in confidence. Do not submit ideas, strategies, inventions, trade secrets, unreleased financial information, personal records, or other material requiring confidential treatment.

Review by editors or service providers does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, advisory, employment, partnership, or other confidential relationship.

8. Publication, Corrections, and Removal

Globee® Awards may publish accepted content in whole or in part and may later update, correct, annotate, archive, restrict, or remove it. Publication does not guarantee permanent availability or any particular placement.

You may request correction of a verifiable factual error or request removal by emailing help@globeeawards.com from the address associated with the submission. Globee® Awards will consider the request but does not guarantee removal where continued publication or archival retention is lawful and editorially appropriate. Removal from one channel may not remove copies already distributed, indexed, cached, quoted, archived, or republished by others.

9. No Public Comment Rights

Submitting content does not give you control over any public comments, responses, excerpts, or third-party discussion appearing on external platforms. Globee® Awards is not required to enable comments on its publications or create a comment-moderation process for contributors.

10. Privacy

Personal information is handled under the Globee® Awards Privacy Policy. You are responsible for providing appropriate notice and obtaining any required permission before supplying another person’s personal information.

11. Responsibility for Claims

You are responsible for third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your material breach of the representations concerning ownership, permissions, accuracy, confidentiality, privacy, or legality of submitted content. Globee® Awards will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and permit reasonable participation in its defense or resolution.

This section does not require you to indemnify Globee® Awards for unauthorized material changes made solely by Globee® Awards or for its own unlawful conduct.

12. Suspension and Misuse

Globee® Awards may reject content, restrict submissions, suspend access, or end a contributor relationship for fraud, impersonation, harassment, infringement, repeated policy violations, security threats, abusive interference, or other material misuse. Measures will be proportionate to the available facts and circumstances.

13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, editorial review, publication, archives, and related services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Globee® Awards does not guarantee publication, traffic, ranking, audience response, accuracy of third-party statements, continued availability, business results, publicity, credibility, employment, or other outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Globee® Awards and its officers, employees, contractors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages or for lost profits, opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from submitted content. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Changes to These Content Terms

Globee® Awards may revise these Content Terms prospectively. The version accepted at submission generally governs that submission. A material change will not expand the license for already submitted content without a lawful basis or your agreement, except where necessary to comply with law or operate an already authorized publication or archive.

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Content Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any proceeding arising from these Content Terms must be brought in a state or federal court located in Santa Clara County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Each party consents to those courts.

Before filing a claim, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through written notice. Nothing prevents urgent injunctive relief or use of a small-claims procedure where legally available.

16. General Terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your submission agreement without written approval. These Content Terms and any specific written publication agreement constitute the agreement governing the submitted content.
