Artificial Intelligence Advocate II | Afiniti | Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States
I am excited to be applying as a judge for Globee Awards in the Information Technology category. I have done my Masters in Applied Artificial Intelligence from Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey in 2020 on a Fulbright Scholarship. For my MS thesis, I worked on detecting and predicting onset of depression in individuals through linguistic markers using natural language processing (NLP) and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques. I presented this research as part of the Association for Computing Machinery’s annual Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD) Workshop on Designing AI in Support of Good Mental Health. During my undergraduate studies in 2017, I worked on classification of motor imagery EEG using machine learning and successfully published my results in the 39th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. Since Oct 2020, I have been working as an Artificial Intelligence Advocate in the R&D department of Afiniti, a multinational data and software company focused on developing AI models for use in customer call centers. My job role involves designing and optimization of software tools and pipelines for implementation of AI models, testing and validation of new features and algorithms in in-house AI tools, collecting data and visualizing statistical distribution of data for identifying and resolving operational problems and ensuring accurate working of predictive AI models.
