“My name is Mukta Sharma, and I am Privacy Program Manager at Amazon Web Services Inc. I was selected to judge entries for 2023 Cybersecurity Awards. This year there were multiple competent entries and I am glad that I had the opportunity to review and score it. Each entry has a unique story to tell, and judging these entries also made me feel empowered to evaluate applications that will become great organizations with immense impact on a global scale.”

Mukta has over 8+ years of experience in the cybersecurity space and had the opportunity to uplift the cybersecurity landscape for multiple Fortune 100 companies. In 2015, after completing her masters at George Washington University, she began her career as Technology Consultant at PwC where her primary role was to assess the infrastructure landscape to identify gaps and risks and use data analytics to quantify the identified anomalies. She switched her role to become Technology Auditor at PayPal Inc., where she assessed key technology risks in financial systems to ensure they are ready to meet the organization goals and are in cognizance with regulatory requirements. She also had a short stint with Yahoo Inc., that gave her insights into the ad tech world and creative ways on mitigating the technology risks. After being in technology audit for close to 4 years, Mukta decided to switch her career to become Privacy Program Manager at Amazon Web Services Inc., where she is primarily responsible for developing workstreams, and ensuring the health of the program is moving in the right direction. Mukta’s career journey combined with unique experience makes her a natural fit to judge the entries in the CyberSecurity program.
