Data Scientist | Walmart | San Jose, California, United States

“The major value in life is not what you get. The major value in life is what you become.” These golden words said by an American Entrepreneur, Jim Rohn, perfectly sum up my approach toward my goals and passion.
It is by doing research work and working over five years in various domains including healthcare consulting, health economics & outcomes research, and ad tech as a data scientist, I have rediscovered my passion for solving pressing problems using data and science.
Apart from my interests in core machine learning algorithms, I am really inspired by nature-based algorithms. I was astonished to see the level of optimization a tiny ant works with. Even today I’m exploring the realm of evolutionary algorithms in the form of genetic algorithms to build media mix models during my role as a Data Scientist at Walmart. Apart from this, have also built cost-effectiveness models to help an extremely rare disease drug be approved.
My fascination for the field has made me decide to concentrate on Analytics through which my goal is to bring about collaborative changes in society through technology and would definitely invest substantial time and energy to make human lives better.
