Chinmay has an extensive background in process engineering and expertise in multi-disciplinary engineering projects in printing, packaging, coatings, rubber, and elastomers. In recent years, he has led multiple engineering teams at Apple towards building and optimizing manufacturing processes for various iPhone models. From engineering validation builds through mass production, Chinmay has been involved in managing the development of a variety of materials, including coatings, inks, and new raw materials.
He holds a master’s degree in paper and imaging science and engineering from Western Michigan University.
He has extensive industry experience in areas including material science, pigments and minerals, RFID application in paper and packaging, and printing technology. Many suppliers have embraced the potential of extremely low-cost, high-volume production of printed electronics, and they currently offer everything from OLED displays to transparent photovoltaic solar arrays and biomedical sensors. In addition to exploring the viability of printed electronics technology in a wide range of applications, including consumer electronics, medical packaging/healthcare, and sportswear, he is passionate about researching renewable fillers in rubber and plastics and using agricultural waste for bioethanol production.
