Bala is an experienced Product Leader with a stellar track record of shipping world class products at top tech and finance companies including Meta, Amazon and Morgan Stanley. 

Currently, she is a Product Lead at Meta, driving the cross-company initiative to make communication private and safe for billions of people on Instagram. Her work is at the center of the company’s efforts to build trust and create a safe space for billions of people to have private conversations. Prior to Meta, she launched delightful and seamless entertainment experiences for millions of people using Alexa-enabled devices worldwide. During her time at Amazon, she also built secure and flexible payment solutions for hundreds of thousands of global sellers. Her product launches have been featured in major tech magazines like TechCrunch, The Verge, CNET, and Business Insider.

She believes in leading with empathy, kindness and authenticity. She is an advocate for animal rights, mental health and wellbeing, DE&I, creating access to opportunity for the disadvantaged. She applies her skillset and life experiences to make the world a more kind, safe, just, and equitable place.
