I am an Applied Science Manager at Amazon where I have worked for the past 8+ years. I have worked across a few different domains – Operations Optimization, Pricing Optimization, Causal Impact Estimation, Machine Learning Scientist and Manager building state-of-the-art ML models (in the computer vision domain) to build recommender systems and improving item data quality. I was an active researcher as a student during my undergrad and grad days. I also have several years of research experience at Amazon publishing in several internal conferences. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University where I specialized in Operations Research domain. My thesis was in the application of Operations Research in Healthcare. I am currently pursuing a second Master’s in Computer Science Engineering at the University of Washington.
