Tips for attendees of the 2020 SVUS Award

1 – Please plan to arrive promptly between to pick up your printed tickets at the registration desk outside the event room

Traffic and parking time in San Francisco can sometimes delay your arrival. This is a formal event and attendees are arriving from all over the world. So allow yourself sufficient amount of travel time. Once the awards presentation starts we will not be able to include those who are late. Tables and seats are preassigned and written on your printed tickets. Meals are served at the table.

2 – Date, Venue and Agenda of the 2019 SVUS Awards Red Carpet Ceremony and Dinner

  • 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm Registration, Red Carpet and Open Bar
  • 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm Dinner & Awards Presentation
  • 9:00 pm – 9:30 pm Social Media Stations, Champagne & Desserts

3 – Where can we pick up the printed tickets?

You can pick up your printed tickets from 7 pm to 7:30 pm at the registration desk. There will be signs directing you to the SVUS Awards room at the hotel.

4 – What are the discounted Parking Ticket rate for those who are parking in the hotel garage?

5 – Are tickets sold at the door? Can we bring additional last-minute or surprise guests? Can we purchase additional tickets for more attendees?

Tickets are not sold at the door. No last-minute or surprise guests will be allowed at the event. We have a strict policy on no admittance for guests that did not purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets for additional guests must be purchased online in advance subject to availability. Tickets can be purchased if still available.

All attendees will have tables/seats and meals assigned on the day of the event.

Children or anyone under 21 years of age will not be permitted to attend the event.

6 – What steps can attendees take to make sure that the awards ceremony is both fun and memorable?

7:00 pm – 7:30 pm

  • Pick up your printed tickets from the registration desk.
  • Walk the Red Carpet and have your photos taken by our professional photographers. All your photos will be made available complimentary to you the same week. 
  • Network with other attendees while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and drinks from the open bar

7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

  • Be seated at your assigned table for salad and main dinner course to be served. Enjoy drinks from the open bar.
  • During the dinner, winners will be invited to stage by each organization’s name to accept their trophies/medals.
  • Since your organization’s name will be announced only once, we do recommend that all attendees representing your organization be present on stage.

9:00 pm – 9:30 pm

  • Enjoy the Champagne & Desserts
  • Walk towards any one of the 2 Social Media Stations to record 2-5 minute video clips. Simply sign-in and wait for your turn.

7 – What is the dress code for attendees? What are the meal choices?

Dress Code: Black-Tie/Dress, Tux, Formal Business Attire

Meal Choices: Chicken, Fish, Vegetarian, Vegan or Kosher (all meal choices must be informed to us in advance)

8 – Will all attendees walk the Red Carpet?

Yes. All the attendees are the stars of the ceremony. The attendees will get to walk the red carpet. A team of professional photographers will be present during the red carpet walk.

9 – Are more than one awards program represented at the 2020 SVUS Awards ceremony?

Yes. This year we are have a combined awards ceremony.

10 – Does each winner have to give an acceptance speech? When will be the acceptance speech for each winner? How long is the acceptance speech supposed to be?

Winners will be invited to stage to accept their awards and give an acceptance speech. Usually we recommend that the acceptance speech is 30-60 seconds. The award acceptance and speech will both be photographed and video recorded and shared with the attendees.

11 – What will the winners present receive?

Winners present at the awards banquet with valid tickets will receive as follows:

Grand Winners – Grand Trophies
Gold Winners – Gold Trophies
Silver Winners – Silver Medals
Bronze Winners – Bronze Medals

All attendees will also receive a copy of the awards night printed book with all the winners listed in it. This is a Memorabilia Book that winners like to keep.

12 – What are Social Media Stations and how can winners and attendees take advantage of this opportunity?

After the dinner and the ceremony of handing the trophies/medals is over, we will have 2 video recording stations (called Social Media Stations) near the main stage managed by photo and video professionals where you can do longer recordings of 2-5 minutes talking about your company, your products/services, your win, etc. The video clips will be made available to you later.

13 – How do I update our organization’s attendee or meal information?

Tickets are not refundable but transferable within the same organization. You may change your attendee name and/or meal request anytime before 7 days to the day of the event by submitting your request online.

14 – Can we purchase additional tickets for more attendees?

Yes tickets can be purchased if still available. Tickets are not sold at the door. Those who have not purchased tickets in advance will regretfully be turned away. To avoid disappointment, please purchase all your tickets in advance.

15 – Our organization has won in more than one or multiple awards programs. How will our organization’s winners be announced?

If your organization has won in more than one awards program then in most cases your organization name will be announced with all the winners for each awards program.

Since this is a live event the announcement changes/updates may happen since there are MCs and entertainers present.

16 – Photos and Videos

All photos and videos will be made complimentary to the attendees so please use our photographers and video professionals at the event. You will begin the event by walking the red carpet and there will be photographers.
